FAQs

We are committed to collecting patient experiences to uncover systemic challenges in healthcare. To ensure privacy and security, all submissions will be anonymized and handled in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including HIPAA where applicable. As we gather sufficient insights in key areas, we will translate these real-world experiences into actionable, best-in-class processes designed to improve patient outcomes and reshape the system with transparency and accountability.

A particularly sensitive example of this could be the prior authorization process—if this process is used at all, what is the best and most transparent way for it to work with the patient at the center, ensuring they know what is going on? Additionally, how can we accelerate and resolve the process for human-centered outcomes?

Once we have collected sufficient data, we will make these processes public.

We have initial plans on how this information could spawn new companies and/or be adopted by existing companies to effect change, but a lot will depend on the amount and quality of the data we collect. Can it be transformed into enough processes to build a new way of interacting with patients within the current infrastructure?

We are hopeful that we can create new organization(s) that are not strictly for-profit or non-profit but can become economically sustainable and focused on the patient, possibly via a Public Benefit Corporation structure.

We are diligently working to accept stories about people under 18 and hope to in the near future. If you would like to be notified when this is available, please send us an email at ContactUs@FixTheSystemOrDieTrying.org.

For our purposes, it creates a legal structure where shareholder return is not the sole purpose of the company. Instead, we can dedicate profits (to the degree there ever are any) to continuing efforts to make the healthcare system work for patients.

We are in the process of registering as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Once finalized, donations will help us expand data collection, advocacy, and reform efforts.
